I had always thought they would have remade it , so it would be the same as the snesversion but with better graphics, and vids. The opening is different, and I'm thinking the story is different to. Is it like a continuation of the story of FFIII.

It is in effect the same game. Just with graphical upgrades, new FMV, and a more precise translation. There are also some extra game play features that weren't in the original.

They gave the characters more uniqueness. In the original they were basically all the same sprite I believe.

I only played a little bit of the original... I always died when I accidently ran into Leviathan.

Then what happened to Terra the Esper. and Locke? and the castle in the sand, that's what i remember. Well I better keep playing maybe they'll be in there.

That is not the real Final Fantasy 3. That is Final Fantasy 6.

    There was:

    FF1
FF2 (Never originally released in the US)
FF3 (Never originally released in the US)
FF4 (Released as FF2 in the US)
FF5 (Never originally released in the US)
FF6 (Released as FF3 in the US)

Then it went to the PSX.
    FF7
    FF8
    etc.

Now they have gone back and released the original FF2, FF3, and FF5. This has caused some headache to people who were so used to playing FF4 and FF6 which were labeled as FF2 and FF3 in the US.
