god I hate X-2 with a passion. I'm in the middle of playing FFX and I'm like oh yeah there's a treasure chest right here on the stairs in luca. you just hold down circle and he jumps to it and...wait. wtf? where is it?! oh yeah WRONG GAME. I was looking for O'aka at the lake macalania shop and of course he isn't there. he is still captured and Wantz is still around. ughhhhhhhh. all because the graphics are exactly the same that I get mixed up so much.
FFX-2 sucks, I get confused between the two as well. Only you know that it is X-2 as there are three chicks that you control, and that you can jump. Battle system is so original. All this stuff about this other Tidus guy, they try to find him, it's not him etc. Yuna starts singing etc.
i hate how they pronounce his name Tidus. its technically T-EE-dus, not Tide-us. i heard the guy who voiced him say teedus, and i was like what the hell? really? that just made him REALLY gay. there are only two cool dudes in the game. auron, and "jack sparrow." i really hate seymour with a passion. dumb stupid total annihilation crap gets me every time, now i gotta sit at mt gagazet filling up HP spheres. and i need reflectga really bad. i haven't used yuna since the via purifico. i hate the linear storyline and the crap they give you for items. ive been using steal with kimahri since the moment i got a lv 1 key sphere, still can't customize stonestrike onto my catch weapons... i have like 40 petrify grenades, all from the arena. 40 petrify grenades cost me about 36k gil. (malboros don't die with deathstrike!) i just hate how they bottleneck you on the sphere grid. (i was waiting for an ability sphere to come up when i was in kilika, all the way to the highroad) (same with the lv 1 key spheres, only had 2 for a long time, then got 6 way later.) i know i just said the word hate in every line, but oh well. there's a lot of things i dont like about the game, (mainly the overall slowness) square has really done it with their little mini games. chocobo racing, 200 lightning dodges, walking a frickin PERFECT path for catching butterflies...twice, blitzball in general (id play it if it didn't switch the camera angle every 2 seconds. hence, me running the wrong direction) i just bought a magic counter buckler from the al bhed merchant in the calm lands. it disappears after you 1. get a chocobo 2. do the event that's for the al bhed rest shop (father zuke) 3. go to the arena any of those three can make the merchant disappear. let's not talk about FFX-2's minigames. stupid lightning rod calibration crap!
Are you still talking about FFX? I didn't hear they saying Tidus only a single time. I'm always hearing "this one" or "You know who"(I HATE THAT!!!!!), but never Tidus. And where the heck is "Jack Sparrow" in FFX. Are you talking about Kingdom Hearts 2, by chance?
FFX-2 is good, i dont understand why people doesnt like them. -great battle system -nice stroyline the only thing that i doesnt like about FFX-2 is how Yuna dress. as for your mixup, shouldnt you play FFX before playing FFX-2? and you should get mixup because you play as Tidus in FFX.
The guy that voice acted Tidus said Teedus in an interview. (probably still on the ffx official site) Jecht kinda looks like Jack Sparrow. lol I've played both FFX and FFX-2 plenty of times, it's just because the graphics are exactly the same, I get mixed up on where all of the hidden stuff is. Meaning I look for the hidden items from FFX-2 in FFX. The battle system is probably my favorite since it takes the already perfected ATB style and adds in flinching, interrupting spells, and combos. The storyline was okay, but I was more preoccupied about getting the 100% completion than anything. I'll replay it with New Game+ and actually enjoy the storyline this time.
I agree, i think ALL final fantasy games set the bar for rpg. And i dont see how you can get confused between the two... in one you play as a chick and the other your a guy lol.. but were all human i spos.
no its the environment. the level designs and whatnot. ie. Luca looks EXACTLY the same so I look for treasures that aren't even there.
Yeah, they are the same levels, so I guess it wouldn't have been too hard to make FFX-2, just rewrite the engine of FFX and so on.. But the NPCs have of course changed with their recursive movement etc. as well as extra things like the Music and Video player in Luca.
