OK well ive enjoyed the play through as always, beaten sephiroph and cant wait to get on to destroying the weapons (personally my fave bit of the game). However at the very end of the game after all of the FMVs it gets to the starfield bit (looks kinda like the old windows screensaver) and it just repeats, im sure it stops after a while, prompts to save and then lets you carry on? but it just wont stop, it just keeps going and going no matter what settings, ive tried speeding it up to get past but that doesnt work either. Im using ePSXe 7 and its emulated perfectly untill now. Has anyone finished FFVII using ePSXe and had this problem?

I don't think there is something after beating Sephiroth.

I've played FFVII on my PS2 and didn't see anything after that, besides that never ending stars.

After beating Sephiroth (when he takes his shirt off :p) with Cloud (in just plain darkness) after Cloud jumps down to Sephiroth, Cloud should get up to the top with all the others, go on the airship, and there should be a lengthy FMV scene all about the Lifestream healing the world and stopping the Meteor etc. Then if you wait a bit, there should be a secret scene where it shows the planet 500 years or so later, Red (or the dog, forgot his name) with children running. Then the credits show, and then the never ending stars comes on. It may depend on which version you have, but it should be the same in both of them.

yeah thats what happens, though I thought it prompted to save after the stars? I remember the first time I played through and I didnt breed a gold chocobo untill after sephiroph, and I got knights of the round to beat emerald weapon, after sephiroph. So your all telling me that I beat the weapons before sephiroph? shit I really should have played this sober for once.

Also I remember training in some magical cave thing, with these orange bouncing balls that gave a load of AP but I cant remember where it is (i was sure it was in sephirophs cave) or was that FF9?

I beat emerald weapon after sephiroth I think, my memcard died so can't check. I spent ages getting yuffie to all lucky 7s to kill it, since I couldn't have very much materia (F*cking Aire Tam storm)

also yes, the 'bombs' were in the north crater on disc 3 and gave massive AP

I'm quite sure the stars are never ending, because when I beat Final Fantasy VII, I waited forever for the stars to end, and they didn't. However, I just remembered possibly seeing something pop up right as I turned it off, and I was like "no fucking way" but I ultimately decided that it was my imagination.

Yeah, the stars never end. I beat all the weapons (Emerald, Ruby, Ultima which is compulsory) after beating Sephiroth, as I was simply too weak when I first fought them. Beating Emerald Weapon under water (without that secret item which allows you to breath underwater) is a pain, very hard to kill him in under 20 minutes, which I did achieve. The Aire Tam storm etc. hurts every character by 1111 times the number of Materia you have equipped, I actually used Barret for lucky 7777s. Trick is to raise the health to maximum (9999) and have two materia, HP Plus etc., then wait for Aire Tam Storm to deal 2222 damage. I used Knights of the Round mostly on Ruby Weapon, with the summoning that freezes a enemy for a few turns, and I only had one character alive at the start, as Ruby does a attack that badly damages three of your characters (what I remember). Anyways, I'm absolutely certain that the stars don't ever end at all, I kept my PS1 on for at least half an hour.

I just can't seem to get into FF7 like I can with FF9. Does that make me an outcast, or a reject?

um I dont know if this is just me but isnt that a little contradicting? You beat the weapons after sephiroph, but the stars come after sephiroph, and the stars never end...... Am I missing something here?

This is the first time I hear somebody saying there is something after the stars and moreover I never seen it with my own eyes I only see that stars.

I killed emerald weapon in 12 minutes, I just hit it quick and hard.

No, there's nothing after Sephiroth, I beat Sephiroth easily, then finished the game. I then played the game again and trained all my characters except Yuffie so I could beat the two Weapons. There's absolutely nothing after the stars.
