FFIV: Complete Collection Save Data Read as Corrupt By Game After Patching Game

Well, I tried to fit as much info in the title as possible. The run down:

The freezing cut scenes rendered the game completely unplayable. I went ahead and used ISOTOOL to patch the ISO, and to my delight, the opening cut scene played through all the way from beginning to end without a hitch. The bad part; the game now says my save data and system data are corrupt even though the XMB says they are fine.

PSP 1000 series running 5.50 Prome-4

Need some help. Would rather not start a new game and go through two hours of game again.

Was the saved data from before patching the ISO?

I would like to hope I'm not fucked. The only problem is that the tutorials I found revolve around data read as corrupt even by the XMB, which isn't my problem.

 

Put the non-patched ISO back on. Maybe the patching has changed the ISO enough that it won't recognize the save data?

What exactly was it patched for anyway? AP/Compatibility or just a translation or something?

 

Well, you have to start a new game, since your previous save doesn't supported by the patched ISO.

Did you patch it using the Prometheus modules?

 

Prometheus patch in hopes that the cut scenes would work better. On the plus side, it seems the cut scenes aren't freezing now. On the downside, it's looking like two hours of save data is going down the tubes. THERE IS SO MUCH DAMN STORY.

Damn you FF4 not making it easier to go through the cut scenes quickly.

Yeah, it was the 6beta1 patch or something like that (I know there's a 6 in there).
