So i downloaded the disk two of FF9 on romulation but when i extracted the folder it says that the data is either "in an unknown format or is damaged."

I'm using ePSXe 1.70 and it still doesn't work. Does anyone have a clue to how to fix it?

I'm using the same emulator as you and I've got no problem with Disc 2.But I hadn't downloaded it here.I got min through a Torrent. You may have to redownload the game from someplace else.

Redownload the file again using a download manager, such as Flashget.

    Don't download from another source...

All you need to do is download the disc again using a download manager.

That should solve your corrupted download problem.

I suggest either FlashGet, DownThemAll (if you have FireFox), or JDownloader.

Okay I'm downloading/using Flashget right now.

Anyways I was using the Firefox download manager so can anyone explain how it messed up the file?

I never have used that, but it can sometimes corrupt downloads if you have a faulty connection or something just goes wrong and corrupts the file during download.

I have the same problem even with Flashget.

Then something on your end is corrupting the downloads...

Try a different one and see what happens.

Make sure you have the latest version of WinRAR. Sometimes older versions won't work correctly. www.rarlabs.com

(or 7zip, or stuffit, or what ever program you are using)
