After the Lunar Cry cutscene on Disc 3, my game pretty much freezes. The characters around are moving and such, but my char is stuck and nothing happens at all.

This is the 2nd ROM I've tried, both have given the same results. Help please?

If you're using a CD to play FFVIII, chances are it might not be fast enough to play that part in the game if it's a bad brand. Get Verbatim or Sony or something. But most common CDs should be fast enough.

If you're using the latest version (1.6?) then try running it with the last one (1.5.2?). 1.6, despite being an update, has many flaws that 1.5.2 hasn't. It's a matter of specifics. So try placing your 1.6 memory card files into the memory card folder for 1.5.2 and run FF8 Disc 3 in that. I can't remember FF8 having such a flaw in 1.6 but FF9, for example, has an unavoidable bug that crashes at a cutscene unless you use 1.5.2.

  9. he says hes using v 1.13 though...so he doesnt have the latest version, which is obviously why I said to get the latest version -.-

Oh shit, I'm oblivious. You're right. 1.13 is simply bound to be strung with error upon error. Upgrade your ePSXe, Emperata. :p
