So, for some reason I can't run FF7 iso on PSXfin. I can run FF9, GT2, Digimon World etc all fine. I think its due to lack of a sub file. Whenever I run any PSX iso it gives me a header issue, at first I thought it was a format issue (like .bin or .img) but it wasn't. I needed to run each game from a file called a sub file. That made it work perfectly, but FF7 did not have one. Can anyone shed some light on this?
.sub is subchannel data, usually audio. It's not required. Try using ePSXe 1.5.2, that can play FF7 perfectly when set up right.
I just downloaded 1.5.2 and tried to run FF7 with it. It says the program has stopped responding. I'll try again. Edit: messed around with the settings, furthest I can get is the black screen it takes you to after you run an iso, but it stops there. No freezing though, I can press escape and the program responds.
