FE: Shadow Dragon. How do I start?

I know I probably sound like a newb or a dork or an idiot or just plain dumb, and I don't mean to offend anyone else who has this problem, because I'm clearly having it too and I don't really think of myself such a way...

...but for some reason, I start Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (for the NDS, USA version), and after I hit the Easy option, it goes to this scene, or rather, setting, with some ink pot and quill and what looks like a map or something, and plays some music...

And nothing happens. No matter what button I press, I don't get anywhere. Then again, I try to press the traditional A and B buttons, and I'm still trying to work out the emulator controls, I guess.

What button should I press to get it to move on/keep going? Or, even though the music's still playing, is it freezing on me or something? I'm kind of confused...

What emulator are you using? (version, etc.)

The NO$GBA version 2.0 with the NO$Zoomer... thing.

I think that is what I'm using. The Zoomer's 2.3.0.something or other, I think. I remember being told to update before, because I had problems saving, so I did...

I said 2.0 because the actual point doesn't show up as far as I'm aware...

Yeah. I just checked the page that I downloaded it from last time I had an issue, and I am using that version, so I think the problem lies somewhere else.

Are you sure you are pressing the correct buttons? Are you using a keyboard? What keys do you have mapped to what buttons?

I set them myself. Up is up, down is down, right is right, left is left.

To match the other GBA emulater I had and make things easier, I made the Z key A and X for B...

    S is for select
P is for start ('cause to me it reminds me of pause)
    L and R are L and R

and enter is for X and Y is Y...

But I haven't tried pressing all the buttons I guess. Common sense told me A or B would typically start something...Is there one that I should try pressing, besides A or B?

    Start?

Or click on the screen (your mouse is your stylus).

    Aha. I've been trying to press Z X and enter, I think. I don't know if I tried P (start) yet :(.

I feel kind of silly...but there are some things that can be right in front of me that I don't tend to see without help, even when I try and try again...I probably would have figured start out sooner or later.

I don't know if it works or not yet. I'm redowloading the game now. I'll try it and if I'm still having problems, I'll let you know.

Thanks ^^. And please forgive me. I can be a bit of an airhead sometimes ^^;.
