Just out of curiosity, what's everyones favourite shooter? It can be first person, third person, tactical, new or old--I'd really prefer if you picked two, in fact, one for online multiplayer and one for offline play (campaign), that way the opinions aren't completely biased due to people picking the game they play online. x] Anyway, I always played a lot of Goldeneye 007 when I was younger.. and because I don't own any of the new consoles, I can't really pick a multiplayer game. :/ But I do like Resistance/GOW2. 8D
i like gradius because its a shooter where you can't necessarily die with one hit if you get the barrier. r-type is great but there aren't things like you find in gradius. additionally, those 19xx series are awesome, especially the 1944 and 1944 series found on the nes days.
Team Fortress 2 Left4Dead I'll have my hands on Killzone 2 in a couple days so that's my new one. Me and PatPat all enjoy these.
Doom 1 - 3, thats including Ultimate and Final Doom. Also Quake especailly 4, King's Field (its not really a "shooter" I know, but its a great first person rpg), Duke Nukem 3D, Prey, all of those I mentioned left me astonished.
multiplayer has to be left for dead on pc with friends using xfire to scream at each other (HELP ME I'M DYING AAAHHHHGGGG) offline campaign probably call of duty 4
For me it would have to be the n64 classic perfect dark (I seem to remember punching a midget alien in the face and hearing obscenely funny cries of pain) I like the metroid series also. i don't really play fps online.
Shump : Thunder Force V (PSX) FPS : Black (PS2) Light Gun : Hogan's Alley (NES) Rail Shooter : Afterburner II (Mega Drive) Third Person : Syphon Filter (PSX) Tactical Shooter : SOCOM (PS2)
What makes you say so? Did you actually play the first Killzone? : No... For me: Call of Duty 4 Rainbow Six: Vegas/Vegas 2 gonna be Timesplitters 4
Hmmm, I would have to say CS. That is the only one I play. Oh and Combat Arms is alright. Soldier Front sucks though
