I've been trying to convert my external hard drive to NTFS for...pirating reasons. But for some reason, it's just too stubborn to turn into one. After many, many attempts, it still refuses to convert.

So yeah. Stuff I did to it just this recently, is here.

So is there any other alternatives besides using cmd.exe? I'd like to do it without formatting or losing any data, if possible.

it most probably does not have sufficient disk space for the conversion to succeed. Or perhaps conversion cannot work on USB drives.

It has more than enough, I believe. with at least 90 GB free space.

    EASEUS Partition Master.

It is the only program I know that is Windows based, and doesn't give you a lot of shit on technicalities. For example, Windows can only format up to a certain amount of space for a FAT32 volume. This did the entire 465 GB without a single complaint. And it didn't have to wipe the data to do it.

I would only guess it would convert to NTFS without being a little pansy about it. I haven't tried NTFS since my PS3 only reads FAT32...

GParted works rather nicely for me.

I formatted my 320GB to NTFS when I got it and my 2GB flashdrive.
