Fallout: New Vegas - Things they forgot?

I personally think the game is rather good. I've ran into a few glitches, but nothing major (the wierdest one was when I couldn't look around. Not frozen, just couldn't look up, down, left, or right. A simple load fixed the problem, after which I turned off auto save and have had absolutely zero problems since)

I was wondering, was there anything you expected to see but didn't, anything that got over-hyped in the previews and wasn't what you thought?

I personally wanted the ability to make traps. I heard about the crafting skill and was hoping I could build some tripwires and rigged shotguns, things like that. Sure, there's the C4 that you can remotely trigger (which is fun if you reverse pickpocket it first) But I wanted to set up a few tripwires and screw with some bad guys. They did good with the reloading / workbench / campfire stuff, but I just wish they'd done more. Anything you wanted to see but didn't?

I think they did a fine job, iron sights are good and its improved over fallout 3 in every area. Theres nothing missing that I wanted.
Ive come across a couple of small glitches also but nothing major. I was locked out the strip even though I had been there umpteen times, it said I needed a key, I had to kill the securibot for one.
A couple of people have died making quests impossible, but only sidequests so nothing major.
Ive had it freeze on me too about 7-8 times but after 50 hours play its not so bad.

I heard its FULL of glitches. Also, what msg said.

I was hoping that it would have some kind of multiplayer.
Have Bethesda ever even made a multiplayer game before?

There was a third party project to make oblivion multiplayer.

I'm on the fence with the multiplayer. On the one hand, me and my buddy traversing the wastes and viciously slaughtering anyone holding a shiny gun would be hilariously awesome. But, somehow a multiplayer fallout just doesn't seem right. An rpg like that plus multiplayer.....

I'd be too busy pickpocketing and stashing live dynamite in my buddy's stuff to care.

it is indeed full of bugs. instead of addressing the main issues in the game during the last patch, they plugged up exploits instead. exploits in the game did less harm than the glitchiness.
on the other hand, i've been running thru the game for a while without that many issues anymore...

anyone know how to get an ending because i can't figure out how to get an ending...

They forgot to use a better engine. Oh wait, they forgot that for Fallout 3, my bad.

i can't figure out which one that is... basically, all i could figure out was that i had to find benny, kill him, and get the platinum chip.
    after that, i'm lost...

You're miles away from an ending and theres 4 of them, even though 2 are identical.

the engine they used is decent, it just needs more bugs fixed.

To which Bethesda, and Obsidian did not fix at any point.

Don't forget the gross looking models, and stiff animations. I can forgive the somewhat muddy textures and stuff considering they're big games but better looking models and more fluid animations aren't the most taxing things in the world.
