3rd DS makes sense; it's the third DS. DS original/Lite > DSI/DSIXL > 3DS It could stand for "3D system", but as far as I'm aware Nintendo haven't stated what the acronym stands for (there was a little confusion a few days ago when a rumour spread on the Internet saying that it wasn't definite that it would even be called the 3DS).
Even if its not the 3ds, it looks sick whatever it is... If it had good firmware and some nice online capabilities (Facebook/youtube/simple forums) and the games were nice I would get it. Anyone know if gamestop will have a trade in thing for the 3DS? like bring in a DSi and get $90 off like they've been doing?
