Is there any way to restore your computer/laptop to the factory or default settings? If so, how can that be done? I'm using a Compaq Presario V200 Laptop.
generally it will have been supplied with recovery discs, in which case you put the recovery disc in the drive and restart it (make sure boot from CD is enabled in the bios). This process will destroy everything currently on the hard disk, so back up first.
Laptop usually have a partition on the harddrive for system recovery, think its press F11 while the comp is booting to enter this menu, then follow the onscreen instructions.
