Go into your video plugin configuration. There should be an option there at the bottom (if you're using a Pete's plugin etc.), called Fast or Nice, check Fast, see if that works. If not, increase your framerate.

im using petes plug-in and the "fast" setting does not work. How do you increase the frame rate?

Under Framerate, check Use FPS limit. Then select FPS limit (10-200) and change it to 50 or 60, or viceversa etc.

tried that and still no hope...im using 200 FPS and the speed is still normal. Its strange that it works in previous versions but not in v1.7. am i missing a plug-in or a file?

no I think its just the stability is much better so it wont run at higher speeds. Also the nice and fast settings are in reguard to the quality of emulation, not the speed. The FPS limit also defines quality and not speed.

They help with some games speeds though, like with my Ehrgeiz, you can try using a earlier version of ePSXe if you want.

Right now im using both v1.52 and v1.7 : v1.57 for grinding and exploring, and v1.7 when the game "stops".
*sigh i guess i'll stick to transferring save state files...lol

ok I just got this sused, open you settings and disable any FPS limit or frame skipping, then in the use FPS limit put in 60 as the number, save and close, open your game and press "F4" to turn off FPS limit, it should speed up :)

lol well technically yes, but you dont actually need to do anything as I found out, just run the settings as you normally do and hit F4.

For lagging in fmv's I switch to psx1.13 if the game will play on it, not much trouble with compatability. IMO

Fighting games lag to almost frozen on epsxe1.7 on my pc.
