I just wanted to know before I get started on playing my actual owned discs of Final Fantasy IX that when I go to save it will save on my computer with no problems? Like I don't have to make a extra folder just to save or anything?

    I have a PS2 but since I don't have a memory card for my PS1 game, I thought I'd give the ePSXe emulator a shot. ^_^

ePSXe has two virtual memory cards contained in the memcards folder, everything will be saved there.

Sorry to double post in my own thread but, I didn't want to make another thread for the question(s) I am about to ask: Is there a way to make my ePSXe emulator not like "stall" when I play FFIX? Like when I transition to another screen or like going into battle? Do I need another plugin or something?

It depends. Which video plugin? You may just have to live with it.

P.E.Op.S Soft Driver 1.18 (is the plugin I'm using)

I do have a Intel Grapics card I think...or OpenGL if that helps.

you might have problems then, intel graphics chips are notoriously shit at 3D stuff.

If I could afford another one I would certainly get it. Is it possible to even upgrade laptops...cause I'd hate to get rid of this one and it's only 2years old.

Don't bother for one game. You don't need to get rid of it. Well you can't really buy custom laptop parts, usually only writers and stuff, that's all I've ever seen.

Okay. I wasn't gonna do just for the game. Just to make sure I wouldn't have other graphic issues down the line. And I'd probably upgrade more RAM as well. I have 512MB now. I was thinking if I could fit 1GB or 2GB in it. Only because of how many processes I running. Mozilla and Explorer eat resources like nothing, as well as iTunes although I don't have an issue when I have Mozilla and iTunes running. (Reason, I still have Explorer is because my boyfriend likes it better than Mozilla.) But say I have NO$GBA running and my computer slows down a bit with iTunes running. I get the same issue if I'm using GIMP and iTunes.

lol tell your boyfriend to get with the times, no one likes internet explorer, its horrible.... anyway on topic, try launching epsxe and opening your game, once in it bring up the task manager and under the process tab find any processes you dont need and terminate them. 'explorer.exe' doesnt need to run during your game, ive found that closing down windows explorer while playing games will speed them up heaps.

Awesome. I will give it shot right now when I load up FF9. I love that game. ^_^
