epsxe savestates

Every time i try to play a game, i make a savestate, then i exit out of epsxe.
When i open the ISO and epsxe back up, the savestate is gone.
What do i do?

I am using ePSXe version 1.7.0, by the way.

 

well always work for me...
have you make the directory for the save state yet..?
if you have....then maybe the problem is with the game....
try to save to memory cards first!

 

I have made the directory, it hasnt helped.

I also have tried the memory cards, their saves get erased as well.

I did make my own, if that makes a difference

 

Savestates don't need a directory. Make sure the memcards are configured correctly (loading to the right file etc.).

 

The memory cards are configured correctly.

However, the window in the back of ePSXe that says what your doing (dont know the name sorry) It says "*Warning (Path) has NOT been saved to disk"

and could any of this possibly stem from the fact i havent taken ePSXe and plugins and etc. out of the zip file?

 

My god im stupid.

Okay, i took it out of the zip file, and all the saves work fine. Silly me. :-\
