What game were you trying to play?

I'm curious and would like to know if anybody has an answer to this error, because I just got it too trying to play Vagrant Story. Delta's Auto Configuration can't help me here because apparently the game isn't supported with that program. -_-

UPDATE: I decided to mount Vagrant Story's ISO onto Daemon Tools and use the "Run CDROM" option in the emulator. Now it actually gets to the "Now Loading" screen and it doesn't give me the error but now it doesn't go anywhere...it just freezes..WTF?

I suggest you try changing the CD-ROM plugin

It doesn't seem to matter how I run it, through the CDROM or just by opening the ISO itself it doesn't run...the CDROM option freezes while running the ISO by itself gives that crazy ass error. But I'll try changing the CD-ROM plugin...don't see what that will do.

UPDATE: I literally tried EVERY single CDROM plugin and they all gave the same result. Is it possible that Vagrant Story just can't be run? I don't want to believe that because it isn't documented anywhere that there is a known problem with this game. It's pretty obvious that other people than myself have had this problem with this game yet I don't see anywhere in the help files or the website that there are problems with the game. SIGH.

UPDATE #2: Ok my eyes are on FIRE from all the reading I've been doing for the past 2 hours. I have found NOTHING pertaining to the problem with Vagrant Story. What I did find where people saying that certain incomplete/improper dumps of the game can cause issues. SO maybe the file here on RomUlation isn't right? Either way, I haven't worked this hard at something on my laptop in over half a year(seriously) I'm definetly going to bed...I have been defeated by this game...dammit.

There's only one way to test if it's a proper ISO, burn it and run it in a chipped playstation. Anyone have a chipped playstation?

I recall hearing that ePSXe had issues running that game, so your best bet would be to try another emulator.

This one should give you better results.

EDIT: I forgot to ask which version of ePSXe you were using, because if you're using an older version, that might be why it isn't working either, since the most up-to-date one is supposed to be able to play it with no problems.

I have had no problems what so ever with ePSXe. Try switching the plugins or bios. If that doesn't work, it's probably a bad rip.

I've discussed this with Seph and have figured out the problem...what happens to the topic is up to him, I don't want to say anything outside of the rules. I am after all...still a newbie in terms of fully understanding all the rules of these forums. :)

Was a bad rip. New one will be added at some point. People who downloaded this game can have their points refunded.
