EPSXE - Final Fantasy IX. First Disc seeming to not work correctly?

When I downloaded all four and extracted them I found it weird that the first one was a bit different then the 3 other discs but I didn't think that much into it. (1st disc contained .bin and a .cue file. the last three contained were .iso files.) So I tried to play the game like I usually do and the first disc just doesn't want to play. It only shows a black screen no matter how long I wait. When I try to open disc 2, 3, and 4 I can open them but they all tell me to play disc one first(obviously). So do I need to change the plug-in or something? I don't mind downloading it again but I don't want to waste points for nothing.

Also, I have read the Common Issue and How to ask for help threads. I also believe this is the thread for asking for help on this problem. I apologize if I am incorrect.

are you using the BIN or the CUE if you're using the CUE wait a little(when I discovered that trick I felt like a moron) and if you're using the BIN I don't know
