guys please help, i havent managed to get a single game to work on this emulator its either a currupt file while i un pack it, or in this case with Broken Sword, it crashes as it goes to load up. The broken sword .img file is an American one, as i cant find a PAL (english) one around that works. Does this mean i have to change the settings/plugins and bios??? Cheers!!
You could try the psxfin emulator and see if that works pSX v1.13 with bioses and memcards http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zdx44255xbi36w9 Run with admin for vista and 7's
Have you had a look at device in sound settings with pSX v1.13 .. Do you have sound when bios is booting ?, I mean the PS logo... Try enableing some setting with your PC sound options Is it just the game that has no sound only ? EDIT: Somegame's have audio tracks that MDF/MDS/CUE images keep with Alcohol 120% program, therase are in the earler games but BS is not on the list as one of them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_1_games_with_CD_audio_tracks Thease are called CDDA tracks http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&q=PSX+CDDA+tracks&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&fp=94dc2184ded5623c
Stand down, the sound works, donno why it wasnt working before. The music on Broken Sword 2 is very jumpy, but everything else is fine, e.g voice, Playstation boot up. Can anyone confirm that this is the games fault or is it something i can do? Cheers!!!!
Ok! How is your PC specs, Ram est ? I don't know why Broken Sword 2 is very jumpy, But i should not be Restart your PC , Are mabe disable hidden software that startup with your pc , Your Uninstaller can do this quite well with Startup manager, full version hear http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DFUZ1VN6 Can save some ram
Perhaps you could specify what emulator, plugins you are using on ePSXe? Although pSX could play the game, it has less game compatibility compared to ePSXe.
You could try google for a list of guilds for epsxe, as meganova sed it might be better to use, but psx can be also better for some certin games http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&source=hp&q=epsxe+guide&aq=0&aqi=g5&aql=&oq=epsxe+gu&gs_rfai=&fp=94dc2184ded5623c
SCPH1001 BIOS P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.18 VIDEO ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2. SOUND P.E.Op.S. CDR Driver 1.4 CDROM Only the music jumps, You may laugh, but ive only got a Note Book, with basic Specs. The guy from the shop said u wouldnt be able to play any games on it lol MY Note Book specs; Dell Inspiron 1011 Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N270 @ 1.60GHz 1.60 GHz, 0.99 GB of Ram Pretty shocking i know, lol
For a note book thats very good gowing!! , If they is a onbord graphics card might lag in well in graphics lol! Try Eternal spu plugin 1.50 for your sound plugin http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/psxplugins-tools.html See if it helps It also also should handle some nds games with no$gba 2.6a And yes it can play most older games like snes and sega, gameboy est, I think he ment PC games it might not! Mabe getaway with some N64 games but not all! Are you running the game as a image file , are have you burn in onto a cd and ran it from there ?
Did Eternal spu plugin 1.50 , not help ? First see if changing the frame rate might help with graphics , uk pal is 50fps and us ntsc 59.94 fps, this can help also with sound Are you could see if convertin the .img to .iso might help http://www.mediafire.com/?dvxkk10255v Post Merge: [time]1280523149[/time] Of for the night back in the morning Hope it could help you!
no, epsxe couldnt find it to be able to choose it from the drop down list. the game is playable at the mo, i'll post back when i get to a cut scene and see if it plays lol
Done it, did make a difference, still crashes when i load it up. Just downloaded Broken Sword 1 and it jumps and skips through the cut scenes like my note book cant handle it. which is a shame cos i really like them saying that the actual game play works fine. Just the cut scenes.
Ill see if i can buy this game from a charty shop for a pond or two, and do some testing myself Will report back to you if i have a result! Sorry to hear it did not two well for you, but it could be the note book after all, It is a real shame.
