ePSXe 1.70 error zlib1.dll

so i have the bios of ePSXe 1.70

but as i start the icon i got this error

this application failed to start because zlib1.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix the pproblem

so what does this mean and how / what should i do to repair this error / problem

[ P.S. im guessing if this is a directx problem... cause i encoutered a lot .dll files and i somehow think of directx]

 

You probably don't have the zlib1.dll file in the folder.

Just click the link below, and there you have. Also, you have to unzip with Winrar. Just so you know.

all hope is gone... i really can't play the castlevania SOTN in epsxe

guess i'll just play ace combat 2 and 3 in Psx emulator

Did you download the plugin pack for ePSXe that is linked in the Sticky topics? It will give you a good start at having everything needed to configure ePSXe to play any game.

What problems are you having with Castlevania?

 

it's a bit laggy... like in online games
not like ace combat, where in i can play it like in real time [with a delay sound problem, maybe because i don't have a good sound card or maybe my pc doesn't have one]

well maybe the problem is that my computer is not that good [but i love my pc]
