[epsxe 1.7] Silent Hill 1: fluctuating speed prob

    I'm having this weird prob with Silent Hill 1 using epsxe 1.7, where the game's speed fluctuates from normal to overly fast.

    This seems to happen when the character is A:Nearby Monsters or B: Within a structure (house or buidling). Also, in the case of nearby monsters, the more of these their are, the faster the game speeds up.

    For the record I'm using pete's d3d 1.7.7 Graphx pluggin and eternal spu 1.41 audio pluggin.

    Any clues on what might be causing this??

    Have you tried turning on the FPS limit in your graphics plugin settings? Seems that once your computer starts doing more work (more things on the screen to process), the FPS is taking off.
