hello, i am using epsxe 1.7.0 and have installed a speedlink controller called "strike gamepad" that is running via a usb-connection to my computer. running games with epsxe and this controller works like a charm (beautifully). configuring the gamepad with pad-port-1 was easy and worked fine. configuring the keayboard for pad-port-2 was easy and worked fine. epsxe 1.7.0 knows all the keys that i setup and everything should be fine ... but it is not: i run a game and the gamepad works great and everything is fine. now and then again i do require a second pad and for that i set up the keyboard to my needs because sometimes a keyboard is just faster than the gamepad. remembering the old playstation1, it used to have two ports for gamepads and i was under the impression that epsxe offered exactly that but there seems to be some kind of bug: in games i can only get the pad to work and the keyboard will not work. a good example would be the requirement in games like metal gear where a second controller can be helpfull but here i am only able to use the gamepad and not the keyboard at all. how can i set it up, that i can use both in gaming? i can post screenshots of settings and so on if required. kind regards and thanks for help in advance. derfnam
hello, has no one got a minute to address this issue? run epsxe setup a controller that resembles the old playstation controller (possibly with dual shock) and then setup on pad number 2 the standard computer keyboard. (all this will work easily) then test it in a game. the controller works but if you want to use the keyboard which is defined as port number 2 or controller number 2 then it will not work. there must be someone who has the time to try this and find a solution to the problem. google does not seem to have any answers on that issue either. help would be much appreciated. kind regards derfnam
