emulator not finding my roms

I'm new to the whole emulator thing and i downloaded no$gba and downloaded some Roms and wen i go to insert the cartridge the files aren't showing up so i need some help on what to do

 

Put your roms in the SLOT folder...

 

ok i tried that and the roms are still not showing up

 

They can be in any directory. It looks for a file with a .gba or .nds extension. You need to extract them from their archive. Read this tutorial Once you've extracted them and got the ROM, you can load them like usual, or drag and drop the ROM onto the .exe, OR you can do what I do, and set the .nds file extension to be associated with no$gba (right click any .nds file, then Properties).
