All my emulaters have a recording feature, but it is always in .smv files... and none of my programs that change file type seem to be able to use it...Also I tried saving it as a .wmv or something and it doesn't work..how can i make my computer use .smv, or transfer them to another file type... x.x so confused,

    thanks^^

So if I gather what it means, it just records your button presses, so in order to "view" the "movie" you would likely load the ROM on Snes9x and "play" the button sequence again.

You will want a program like FRAPS (http://www.fraps.com/) which is used to capture video.

I tried using fraps over their movie system, but for some reason fraps wouldn't start recording... I feel like theres something simple i'm doing wrong, lol... x.x

fraps only works in direct3d (or possibly opengl) applications, you need camtasia studio or something similar.

Hypercam works awesome for these kinds of things!
