Edge flash cart installation help, won't boot on DS Lite?

    Hay romulation users,
    dsfan here,
    i have a big problem with the edge cart that i got from a friend,
    i got the white one, original edge,
    just the edge card, he gave me.
    i installed the updated os on my micro sd card, kingdston 2gb, and sandisk 8gb SDHC, when i boot up my ds lite, the nintendo health screen comes up, but no auto boot edge?

    how do i fix this?
