I am having many problems trying to install and update the bootstrap file "0363 - Puzzle Series Vol.3 - Sudoku.nds" on to a micro sd card to then insert into an edge card for my sons new DS, & I am a bit of a ludite. Please help, I have a very cranky 4 & 6 year old
Umm that doesn't really tell him anything..... what you need to do is have that rom available, make sure it's unzipped use the bootstrap patcher and select the rom file....it will then create the bootstrap flash file which you need to drop onto the micro sd card alone, do not put anything else on the card til you flash it! You can look at the back if it's an iedge and you will see a little led light blinking, once that stops the flashing is complete and you can turn off the ds and take the microsd card out and put it back into the computer and start loading up the firmware and roms. You can get the newest firmware which is 1.10(not 1.09 as stated by the previous poster). drag and drop the files and drag and drop you roms to the root of the microsd card with everything else and you should be set to play the games. here's the bootstrap updater: http://www.edge-ds.cn/downloads/EdgeBootUpdate-v1-win.zip here's the 1.10 firmware: http://www.edge-ds.cn/downloads/iEDGE-OS-1.10.zip and you can find the rom you need on this site if you havent downloaded it already. If it's a normal edge and not an iedge, trying to use the bootstrap file will do nothing and also the normal edge will only work on ds and ds lite, but not dsi.
