it should be really interesting on what nintendo will bring out for display. remember that nintendo have had a dry season in japan, which was the reason why the ps3 had that 2-3 month of ps3 sales go up above the wii. this would suggest that nintendo was working hard on their next project, whatever it is.

sony, microsoft, they're not really interesting. you sort of know already what they have for the fall line up of games as well as what they will present. look at e3 2008, how many here were surprised on what they presented in 2008?

Or it would suggest that people are over the initial "ooo!" and "ahhh!" of the Wiimote and have realized that the game selection is pretty bland. ;)

It's never really surprise. Sometimes I like what I see, but I'm not surprised by any of it. I might get excited about a few things. I don't recall being excited about anything last year. We'll see this year, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Even though I know they're going to talk about and give the media hands-on time with it, I'm pretty excited about hearing more about DJ Hero.

Yay, more interactive peripherals to fill up my room! Seriously though, I'm excited about that game. Can't help it.

Ya... button mashing rythm games aren't exciting anymore (if ever!) I want something good, not just another **** Hero game.

guitar hero and rock band are great because it's like pretending to be a famous rock band group or a famous guitarist. but dj hero. do you know any famous dj's? who would want to pretend to be a dj? maybe there are people who would like to be a dj or know famous dj's but i certainly don't know any. let's see how well people will react to the game.

Well, hopefully, there'll be some news of Famicon Wars DS2 (it's on Nintendo's release list for this year, so they've got to start pushing some sort of information out). Other than that, we really need to see more of High Voltage's games - they've already announced all three of them, so we need to actually see something of them. An official release date for Gyakuten Kenji would be nice, as would some footage of both Spirit Tracks and the new Zelda Wii game. While I might be dreaming here, I'd seriously love some news on Golden Sun 3 - but I fear that they're making it a Wii game, similar to how the guys behind Another Code made the sequel a Wii game (when it should have been a DS game, to be frank).

Just please, please, PLEASE, don't show off Wii Sports Resort or Wii Fit Plus like they're actually "fun" or of any interest to the people at E3 and make yourselves look like fools again... :-[

E3 this year hmm, I'm looking to see the Regginator make a triumphant return to Kendo Fighting on Wii Sports Resort (anyone who didn't see Nintendo's conference last year, you NEED to watch it for the sheer cheese and such). I'm curious as to what MS are going to do in counter to Sony's strong lineup this year (KZ2,MAG,FF13maybe this year,Uncharted 2 etc.). Also I want Ninty to show what the Mario and Zelda teams are doing for new games as stated last E3 (assuming the Zelda team's new game isn't Spirit Tracks). LucasArts should be interesting as they're going to HAVE to show Star Wars Battlefront 3 after Free Radical/Crytek UK revealed concept art and footage (that footage was amazing, to think I almost went there for a Work Placement had they not gone bankrupt and popped back up like a week before I was due to go on placement).

Basically, through IGN, I'm going to watch all 3 big conferences and see as much game footage/interviews as I possibly can.

I would like for Nintendo to showcase Soma Bringer for the NDS. I'm tired of all their mini-games and training games and such. I want Soma Bringer fully localized and ready for delivery:) I knew that the acquisition of Monolith Soft by Nintendo would prove to be a mistake. Why is Nintendo keeping the goods to themselves?

wow! microsoft surely got sony beaten down. project natal sure is way superior then the eye toy and peter molyneux called it the most innovative computer entertainment device. microsoft killed hd dvd for a reason and that reason is streaming media. for crying out loud they're killing sony at their own game.

I think it might give the Wii a run for its money in terms of appeal, because with Project Natale, Microsoft is trying to reach out to gamers who want incorporate their families into the gaming experience, while at the same time, maintaining a hardcore audience.

no! remember that this is a battle not with all three companies but only microsoft and sony [remember that sony and microsoft don't have video game consoles but computer consoles]. remember that the eye toy had the similar idea that the project natal had, if you recall this video from last year [http://www.breakitdownblog.com/gdc-sony-eyepet-virtual-pet-using-ps3-eye-toy/], this project natal by microsoft is to say that microsoft also have what sony has and not what they can do with what nintendo has. it is not to go against the wii's motion controller but rather to do what sony has. if you look at the preview software for project natal, isn't it awfully similar to what the ps2 eye toy had with games like anti gravity or that picture frame thing game.

remember that sony had 1080p blu-ray movies, and now you have 360 offering 1080p streaming movies. remember that sony had exclusives with konami metal gear and now microsoft has exclusives with konami metal gear. whatever sony comes up with this year, microsoft will try to develop something for it next year.

this is hard to swallow but sony is in deep shit because they have stepped on the wrong foot and that foot belonged to microsoft. let's see how long sony will last. microsoft has lost a lot and a lot of money in attacking sony and maintaining their position and they have no plans to back down now, so how long do you think sony can keep up with this struggle they have with microsoft.

Sony has NOT stepped on the wrong foot. Microsoft are muscling in as usual. If someone else has a good idea that sells, microsoft will steal or copy it. just like the GUI, the zune, xbox and countless other things.

well PS Eye is a stupid idea to begin with just like Wii Remote.

Sony is better give us news about God of War 3, the cliffhanger of God of War 2 is killing me.

i'm going to try to watch it live today [both nintendo and sony]. it should be really interesting because nintendo will push everything on forward after today.

microsoft did such a crazy job to sony. look at all those titles specifically only for 360 [splinter cell conviction and i believe left 4 dead 2] and the shift of previous games on ps3 going to 360. they made the ps3 look like a dry up lake.

lets see what sony has for their system owners today.

the future is motion controls! you need to get with the program or die out.
but don't worry, you'll still have your dual analog controller setup gameplay and everything hardcore, but it'll be in a small corner somewhere.
