DVD -RW/+RW??

Im confused what im supposed to use to burn a backup for the wii. -RW or +RW??
And is it the same for GC?

 

dont use RW ! use DVD -R and burn them @3x speed....ive wasted a few expermenting ,ive had great luck with Sony DVD-R .....

You can use either DVD-R or DVD+R i've used both on my ps2 backups and the DVD+R's work just fine...

not sure about the wii, just because i have a HUGE stack of DVD-Rs!! but i've been wanting to try this, so i'll see how it works and post!

 

ive heard to stay away from them....they seem to not work as well,so i never tried them,but from my experience DVD-R work great.....remember to use the software IMGBURN ok,

My dvd burner doesent write on -r so i have no choice.

What cios do i use for 4.3 e?

just wait a couple of months and see if someone can hack a 4.3 wii....i have only done 4.2 and under.......

no, until someone figures out how to hack a 4.3 wii.....you can't do crap right now.....no one has hacked that yet....

No one has hacked 4.3 yet, AND no one has found a way to downgrade from 4.2 yet....

you're not going to be able to hack it, but you can always look around and learn some stuff for later.

 

Yeah u cant hack your Wii on that firmware ,it will not work ,read what its says when u do a systems upgrade...i just got a new one,and tried .....NO GO!and they will shut down if you try to hack it on that firmware
If you can find one of the first ones made (good luck there) then your good to go...

FYI....4.3 does not exsist yet

 

Just tried DVD+R and it didn't work...oh well!

Use DVD-R instead!

 

DVD+R works as well but you have to use booktype dvd-r (dont ask me how to configure that, I only read it everywhere)
I for myself always use dvd-r and never had a bad copy.

 

You have to do some patching in order to get a DVD+R to work on a wii....not worth it to me unless all that you have are DVD+Rs
