Your computer must have a DVD reader I think. Like new computer games are in DVD format which my old computer won't be able to read.

There are basicly 2 types of main disk drives now(excluding all that fancy stuff like bluRay), CD-drives - Like their name can ONLY play CDs, DVD-drives - they can play DVD and CD (This is what you want.)
You probably have only a CD drive.

Look on the front of the drive tray, it will tell you if it can play DVDs or not.

Buy one. And replace it with your current one.

You need to have some sort of DVD playing programme. Or your PC can't read DVDs for some reason.

and no theres nothing you can download or bootleg to get it to play dvds. Its like putting a 8 track in a cd player lol.

Can I copy it from a computer that has one. How much does it cost if I have to buy one?

The people who made the DVDs most likely put copy-protection onto them so you probably can't do that.

If you want a DVD drive:

Does your computer even recognize it? Like...It knows the DVD is in there but can't do anything. Because I don't have a DVD drive
and I can still play DVD's using VLC Mediaplayer. Maybe try using that
