are there any games that are over 4.7 gigabytes? I was just about to get Okami but my dad said that if it isn't bigger than 4.7 gig then he won't allow me to get it because he just got a 8 gig DVD+R disc and doesn't want the extra 4 gigabytes to go to waste. maybe i can get some kind of metal gear solid ultra pack because i really like metal gear solid
Gran turismo 4 is 5gb. The god of war games are over 5 gb. HOWEVER there is majour issues with burning ps2 games, I had to locate a patch just to burn gt4 onto my dual layered disc (toxic DL-google it). And some refuse to work after patching, like midnight club...um the last one that was on the ps3. The only way to get that one working was to remove the cutscene's, thus easier to find a ripped one pre-done on torrents. Oh and I think metal gear solid 3 and substance are dual layer sized games, I'd assume they need a patch...but I'm telling you it's risky-they have a extremely high fail rate... I went thru 5 disc, 2 failed after I found the patch.
I'm not sure about PS2 DL, but I know that Wii and 360 DL DVDs require a manual layer break. Metroid Prime Trilogy requires a layer break at 2084960. 360 games' layer break is 1913760. I couldn't find anything on PS2 games....
is there a way to put 2 ps2 games in one disc? I mean i really wanted to get Okami but I also want to get Shadow of the Colossus. Is there a way to put them both in one disc like how they make those 3 in 1 PC games?
you mean dvd9, which is dual layer..and what games were they to fit 4 on one? I know you can do that with gamecube games however.
Nope. DVD5. They were VERY small games. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (300 MBs), Super Paper Mario (410 MBs), and some others that would fit on DVD5. I have NO clue how they did this. Something about extracting the cISO files and then reconstructing them as a complete ISO I would assume.
