I need to know if installing either the XP or Vista version will be compatible with the little remote and HP quickstart. If at least one of them does, then I will dual-boot. We all hate Vista, but having it should take care of any future compatibility problems. However, my friend likes to use XP MCE so that's what I'm going to be installing. I just want to know will XP MCE work perfectly on an HP laptop that has been designed to run with only Vista.

Also, I need to know what is a good partition on a 120 GB harddrive?
Should I do 60 GB per OS?

Since I'm getting the HP editions and running them on an HP laptop, it shouldn't nag me for the CD key...

if its a vista only laptop you may well have difficulty installing XP due to the installer not containing suitable drivers for the hard disk controller. It depends on the exact hardware though.

If you need to dual boot install xp then vista or you won't be able to boot vista.Win Xp will be started automatically and you won't get an oem selection menu.
