heck yes it is!!XD i use tiny beast (well actually tiny xp - beast edition.....i just call it that......easier) and it works JUST fine!! have fun!

dual boot is when you have more than two operating systems on your computer.......such as Windows and Linux (like me)....
and you can choose which one to boot from when a window appears at start-up

boot-loader that i have is called grub

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi_boot
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_GRUB
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partition_%28computing%29

it has many different designs - from graphical to just text like on the wikipedia page

    grab a distro of linux.........this one's good for beginners - http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=mepis

this site has TONS of linux ditributions!! - http://distrowatch.com/

all you gotta do is make one partition for windows......leave another for linux.....

then install linux and the boot-loader will automatically recognize that windows is on there!!

you MUST install XP first or else it'll be all mean.......

if you need help just pm me!

you dont need linux to dual boot. In fact I dont recommend it at all. Linux is very different to windows, and you can quickly get out of your depth.

It works fine on my Ubuntu dual boot.
    Nameroka or something,
Shiretoko is good also (latest 3.5).

I heard it can mess up your boot, though. And my antivirus picked up a trojan on my boot disk for TinyXP.
    WTF?

You must have a big hard drive lol!, mabe 250gb or more.

vista and win 7's use a hole 7gbs each, xp not bad at about 2gb!

Duel Boot is pretty volotile on our school systems. They seem to mess up the iMacs when trying to load up Windows then Mac.. If you've got a good enough Ram, then how about looking into Virtual Machines.
