DSTT issues

I have a DSTT card running 1.17 firmware and I'm having a problem with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time.

I've read dozens of threads here but none of it makes sense to me and very little deals with the DSTT card.

I have no idea how to add stuff to the USRCheat.dat file but I did download a new one from gbatemp which has over 4000kb instead of the 1069 of the original.

I still can't save and if I bypass the first save it still freezes before the first fight.

Is there an already-patched version of this floating around somewhere? Did I download the right USRCheat.dat file? I'm completely in the weeds here and would appreciate some help.

 

Im not to sure if the new firmware for your microSD chip would work with this problem

Im sure you put usrcheat.dat in the TTMenu folder

 

OK, I downloaded the 1.17a12 and transferred it to my card. Then I downloaded the usercheat.dat file from gbatemp and transferred it onto my card too. I also deleted the old save from the game. I got the exact same message "could not save data. turn the power OFF and reinsert the DS Game Card.

Was there anything else I was supposed to do?

 

this game has anti piracy, i haven't played it in a long while, but what i do remember though, it was something to do with the saving issue

so you will need a patch for it, or a pre patched rom

OK I think I know what I did wrong. I transferred the new firmware and the new usercheat.dat but didn't transfer the TTmenu system file because it wasn't in the ttmenu folder but outside of it. Duh. Oh well, it seems to be working now...LOL Thanks for all the help.

 

All the impotent files are in the TTMenu folder!
