So, I beat Phantom Hourglass using a rom on my DSTT. After all the cut scenes, credits and what-not, it seems to want to reset my DS. Like a save/reset or something. but i guess the normal control it has over the DS firmware doesn't work well/the same with the DSTT. So, it goes to a white screen and freezes and forces me to power-down the DS.

    <Phantom Hourglass Spoilers>
Once i open my save, it considers everything 'done' but i still get told i need to go finish the game and save Tetra at the Ghost ship. So i sail over to the floating debris, and all the cut-scenes start again, i get to skip them this time. but am forced to do the boss-battle vs the possessed linebeck once more. after that, same thing. cutscenes, then freeze/blank screen.

on one hand i think this might be intentional so you can watch the ending again, but every time i leave port its "go to the ship", im assuming if i'd have gotten actual credit for completing the game it wouldn't say that anymore.

So, is it the DSTT that is causing this? if so, is there anyway to fix it? hell, even editing my save file to trigger the game to say im done. or something. a cheat to change it so i'm classed as completing the game? Is there a

Any info anybody can offer would be appreciated.

EDIT: For some reason, my save file is now missing my Boomerang, Shovel, And Grappling Hook, So it seems the final part of the game isn't my biggest worry at the moment. Any help with anything?

Maybe try updating your DSTT firmware? Go here http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds. My friend has a DSTT and has finished PH with no problems. You shouldn't need to properly reset it after beating it.

i have the latest firmware and upgraded that only a few days ago. Basically i go through the ending, it shoots me back to the "open save file" screen, and the save file is the one before i went through the ending. basically a big-ass loop.

But now that i'm missing my items for some reason, i guess it doesn't matter right now considering i can't really do anything without them. Anybody else randomly have the boomerang/shovel/hook disappear on them?

Your save file may have gotten corrupted or something. Also after beating the game, it should ask you to save in order to say that you've beaten the game.

Yeah, it may have. sadly i don't have a back-up.

Nothing. after the game ends and the credits roll and all that jazz, i get a short-lived white screen then get sent back to the main phantom hourglass menu. As if i just turned the game on. so it pretty much sucks. I guess my Zelda days are over. i don't have any back-ups, and i'm not starting over (Really don't want to go through that damn dungeon five more times). Oh well. Thanks for the help though. I was really looking forward to all the extra adventuring though.

Chances are you can find a save game online somewhere, and then just not complete the game. :)

I downloaded a save game file from the internet. And it said on the description that the game was completed. Yet the same thing happens. (Maybe this is normal behaviour and it never really ends?)

I go to ship out and Linebeck still says "lets go to the ship and save Tetra", so i go, do the battle, cut scenes, credits, "the end" pops up, then i get shot back to the title screen and have to open my save file from where i started. like a big ass loop.

So it's either my Rom, or normal behaviour? I don't know.

It's not normal behaviour that's for sure, could be your rom. Try redownloading it and see what happens. If that doesn't work, just do Crazy lama style and keep all of your roms and saves that you want then delete everything else and reformat your microsd then reinstall the firmware and put the roms and stuff back.

just tried with new firmware and a new Rom i just downloaded. both on a freshly formatted card. used a downloaded save file to rule out mine. Same loop happened. I guess it's just not going to work.

To those that have completed the game, Does the ghost ship go away? What is normal? how does it normally go?

It stays even after beating the game so you can verse it again and again. If I'm wrong, don't blame me, I finished it last year.

Ya, i was thinking that. so you can keep fighting it and watch the vids again if you want. but the thing that bugs me is the fact that it keeps saying "you have to go to the ship and save tetra" that seems odd.

Don't give that advice, it's almost NEVER the ROM, the ROMs here are clean and unmodified ROMs, if anything it's the emulator/firmware that's bugging out.
