Has anyone tried doing the Shock or Ghost DSlite case mods? I have seen a couple I would like to have but I have read its hard to do and the end results had issues. but still I like the looks of them and I love a challange. does anyone recommend any or should I just stay away from it all together and just look at them and dream?

In the middle of one right now for my son's cracked hinge...which by the way is not covered by the warranty.

It's a pain to do! I've done it before. It completely voids your warranty and many things could go wrong with it. Be careful you don't break it. Be ready to buy another if you don't know every single thing you are doing to it. If in fact, you have the $$$ to get another one, then by all means try it. You want to be ready for that, just in case. Like i said...Ive done it before, so i have broke one or two in the past. If you want to...the best idea, is to buy an old or used one from gamestop for 60 or 80. Use that one to do the case mod so you can always have your trusted one still alive.

!? I had clean forgot I posted this back in April...wow. Well anyway thanks the info, but I have already done quite a few case mods since then and lucky I haven't messed one up yet. *knock on wood*
