DSiXL - Acekard2

I bought this card for DSiXL

Downloaded official release 4.21

Unzipped the files and moved it to the MicroSD card.
Popped the card into Acekard2 and inserted into the DSiXL.

DSiXL does not like it. It gives an error.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

 

You need to update your Acekard 2i with this - http://www.akds-forum.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=downfile&id=15

You need to update on a DS Phat/Lite or a Pre-1.4 DSi Original.

Then get AKAIO since it's way better than the official firmware.

Put loaders in the /_aio/loaders folder and delete the other two that are in there.

I downloaded this. But I am lost as to how do I update it.

I downloaded the AKAIO and got that taken care of.

 

Run the .nds file inside.

What are the files inside the archive?

 

There are two files.
ak2ifw_update_14_DSL.nds
ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds

I put this ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds in the root folder of the TF card?
Is this correct? What should be my next steps.

You need to do this on a different DS by the way, the DSi XL can't run it before the update is executed.

 

I have just bought and acekard 2, have downloaded AKAIO, can i just put this firmware on my card and it'll work ok? I have an original ds lite

 

Yes, it will work just fine with AKAIO and a DS Lite.

but the website of Acekard gives an warning with installing AKAIO, did you read that?

 

I have been using AKAIO on my Acekard ever since I got it, you should just ignore the warning.
