DSi

Forgive me if this is covered somewhere else, can some one tell me how I can convert files on an R4DS to work on on a DSi? or do I have to get an R4Di? This would help me placate my kids who are driving me wild!!!!

yes you have to get an R4i
i have one and works well
but i have problems with YSmenu

 

you need a new flastcart that supports dsi, so yes you need a r4i

 

I'd recommend staying away from the R4i though, and instead get an Acekard 2i.

 

Acekard 2i is the best flash cart for the dsi so far.

If I get an Acekard2i or similar, will they be able to use the DS roms they have currently downloaded or will they have to download new DSi roms. If so where from?

It'll run only ds roms.

DSi roms are locked to the system and won't work on any flash cart, it can play some, if not all, ds hybrid games (works on both ds/dsi but dsi has more functions like camera or parental controls)
