Hi, I have a dsi, and use an r4i (probably a clone). My l button is automatically pressing, and i can't lower my volume at all (when i turn it on holding the minus volume button it stays down, until i let go). I'm wondering if a virus could be doing so (earlier i was having problems making the l button work). Oh, and also my lights for the battery and wi-fi flicker before it turns on, and sometimes the bottom screen of the dsi dims and i have to hit the back of it for it to turn back.
No, a virus couldn't be doing this to your DSi. The DS has always had issues with shoulder buttons sticking and failing (L and R). You can try to clean them out by blowing them out. Your volume + button may be stuck on as well.
I was blowing on my dsi button (i did it on a train people were staring at me) and how could i do that with the volume o.o
I've never had problems with my L+R buttons sticking, maybe because I don't ram these buttons in...all I had is just hinge damage on the right side of both my dslites. I can only guess prehaps you've beena bit heavy handed... I would have taken mine to a repair shop and pay for it, especially the volume button, though I've got money o burn.
If your heavy handed it will just get worse... Do you consider yourself a heavy handed person? My little brother (13) is heavy handed, he destroyed (snapped in half) a dark blue japanese dslite, I thought itm was cheaper not to bother repairing it. However, wait until TrithRR comes back, he might have more suggestions...that don't cost a cent. The blowing trick might work with enough persistance, even on the volume buttom.
well just now i was blowing on it again like uuber hard but it wont work :/. I'm not even gonna try plus button, no way i can blow on that lol. oh btw, then im almost the same age as ur bro.. just 10 more days till ima teen
I think and my brother would be good friends...except both of you would destroy every ds you guys own in 10 months The dslite I gave him (my fav black...) already has hindge damage, it's a common problem but he's still to rough, the system looks like no-one has cared about it now that he's held it. I would advise taking more care of your system in the future, and especially the dsi because those things would cost more to repair than a dslite, and you would have to send the system to nintendo as console mod shops who are normally cheaper to ask for repairs may not bother trying to fix a dsi.
I do (try) to take good care of it... my wii is in perfect condition (but its collecting dust) and I haven't really broken anything. But im actually not that hard handed, i dont slam my l button down at all.
instead of blowing your spit into it, get your dad or mom to blow it out with an air compressor. that will work better
