Many appologies if this is a many times repost question. I have been asked to get a flashcart for a DSi running 1.2E firmware (it seemed a fair swap for some Audi A3 alloy wheels). Unlike getting one for my own DSL, the DSi situation appears a bit problematic. My options are Acekard 2i or R4i for 1.4 firmware. Which of the two are my best bet for ease of use and setting up? I'd rather not mess about with the DSi itself as it isn't mine and don't fancy shelling out £££s for a new one if I cock it up. Thanks in advance.
Any DSi Flashcart will work on the DSi running 1.2E. It's when you upgrade to 1.4E/U/J that you run into trouble. Any DSi flashcart that works on 1.4 will also work on 1.3, 1.2, etc. You are best off getting an Acekard2i, setting it up to run on 1.4 with the update, and being prepared in case the user accidentally updates to 1.4. (Which with the Acekard2i they will be able to and use the DSi Shop again.)
