DSi enhanced on R4 or do I have to buy a new flascard?

I was wondering why Alice in Wonderland and Wario D.I.Y. didn't work on my original R4DS and a searched a bit around in the forum here and noticed it's probably because they're DSi enhanced games. I also read somewhere I don't have to hope for any more kernel firmware for R4DS updates since the guys who made the flashcard got sued and somewhere else I read I won't ever be able to play DSi enhanced games with my R4DS EVER.

Now, I was wondering, is there really NO way for me to play these games on my R4DS? Or are there any sort of patches I can use?

If it really isn't possible to EVER play these games or other DSi enhanced games on my R4DS, what other flashcard could I buy that WILL let me play these games and won't give me too much problems (one that is not to pricey if possible) ? I have a nintendo ds Lite.

Alice in Wonderland is indeed an DSi Enhanched game.
You need an DSi to run it (I do not know if it also works on flashcards).

 

You don't need a DSi to run DSi Enhanced games. Just a flashcart that supports it.

I think the CycloDS and Supercard can run Alice in Wonderland. Last I knew, the Acekard still hung up on the anti-piracy invincible creature, but it may be working now.

Some DSi enhanced games work on the R4 running Ysmenu/DSTT 1.17a12 with the updated infolib/extinfo files, but I don't thin Alice in Wonderland does.

 

As long as it doesn't say "DSi enhanced" on the case, it can be fixed for the R4.

If it has errcode=-4, then it can be fixed. But DSi Enhanced games DO NOT work on R4.

 

I got an old m3real card from my bf and the game works perfectly now!

 

NOW.... THERE IS WOOD R4. IT SHALL PLAY ANY GAME YOU WANT. ;D

 

BUT NOT NEW, NEW, NEW GAMES.

The R4 doesn't play the newer (coming out) games currently.

Gonna try DSi games via YSmenu, though.

 

Ok, so art academy and jam with the band don't work on my m3real now D: (and prolly not on my r4 either)

How do you play new dsi-enhanced games on a nds lite with an r4 or an m3real? Do I have to use patches or use alternative/newer software?

p.s. Art academy works for about 3 minutes, after I draw a little stick on the circle to make an apple, both screens turn black

 

Upgrade the firmware.

 

like someone said earlier, upgrade the firmware to wood 1.11 and it plays everything perfectly, even art academy runs like a dream, my boys have the r4 with this firmware and it plays better then my acekard.
