Where can I buy a cable for that? My internet is wireless so I can't connect to wifi unless it's through my pc...

Can't you just connect your ds to the wifi that your pc connects to?

bahaa, it's got a mobile card that I plug into my usb and that connects to the internet, there's no router or anything it runs purely from a mobile sim card, no phone line.

Oh ok, lol, i get it now.

I think Nintendo used to sell the USB Wifi dongles on their website, not sure if they still do.

Hmm... I'll check... isn't there a data cable I could buy instead?

A data cable to what, plug into the DS? Sad to say those don't exist. Some USB dongles can be used as a wireless bridge, broadcasting a second network that piggybacks on the internet of the first (sort of what I'm doing)

I recently bought Nintendo USB Dongle. DO NOT BUY THAT !

It doesn't have any drivers for Windows Vista or Windows 7.
I read lots of forums, I spend countless hours to make it work... I failed :(
I don't want you to suffer same pain.

A wireless router will work better and be more useful all around.

Thanks stonegolem I noticed that they're pretty pricey too, so I guess I'll just switch internet plans to one with a router

generally people only have mobile broadband if they cant get regular broadband (no landline, or no broadband signal due to distance). However, 3g routers do exist. offhand, linksys make one, and so does draytek.

It doesn't work because nintendo discontinued it, probably because of all the glitches and poor performance.

Yeah I have no landline here and my landlord refuses to put one in...

    Ah, I know, wireless broadband.

All the internet in a USB based device, useful for houses that CAN'T have wired connections at all, usually prepaid (or contract) and is rather annoying signal wise...

What you'd need is one of these.

Try ebay for these, however there are some issues with this...

-Works on windows vista, not 7, they stopped updating the drivers (which you could download from nintendo's website)

-In my experience because of the nature of the usb device (your internet one), and the fact that 2 wireless signals are being transmitted, meant I be
lucky to stay online on my ds for more than 5 mins.

BTW this is what she's on about.

They come in different forms, but mobile wireless broadband are usb based.

You can try with the nintendo usb adaptor, keep in mind that my laptop was having issues with some devices.

If you got windows 7 though then your screwed and the option you've considered is best for now.
