recently i let my brother use my nintendo dslite and he scratched part of the screen that made it rough and hard to use the stylus on it is there any way to fix the screen?
You can buy replacement screens that are not that difficult to replace. If your DS is still under warranty, you can get it repaired. DS Lite: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3245 DS Phat: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3259
you should by screen protector, if if it's scratched you just have to replace the screen guard, without damaging the screen
go to the DS vendor, ask for screen guard, it's ussualy free given if you buy new DS in some store like this: and the protector is like this: ask the vendor to attach it, because it's quite tricky, if you attach it wrongly , it would be hard to replace
I've had my Phat DS for over a half a year now (2nd one, got another cuz i sold the other) anyway the best way to prevent screen damage is to be nice as possible when playing games that NEED the touch screen, after every use of your touch screen (when your done playing) gently wipe off the screen with a eyeglass cloth or even a q-tip. Use the back of your nail (the more flat part) to tap some menu type buttons if you have to. It will not damage it. Trust me I do that all the time cuz my stylus is a pain to take out and put back. ( I do not have the nintendo strap with the thump stylus on it thus the back of the nail) Anyway there was my small helpful hint on DS touch screen care. Hope it helps.
As soon as we get a new DS or DSi, before using it, we put a screen protector on it. I let my son use my DS once with his Guitar Hero and then there was a whole bunch of long scratches on it.
i have damn lotta scratch after playing zelda.... the protector need to be changed after finished that game....
