    There isn't many.

I remember 'Combat mode' in Advance Wars Dual Strike which was decent.

Heroes of Mana and Spectral Force Genesis as well, I believe.

I wouldn't reccomend it though. It's like a spruced up battle city.

    Real-time strategy...

First I've tried is Heroes of Mana. Though it's a good game in concept, but it has dire flaws that hinder positive experience, one of which that I can note the most is the cell-based map system. And also to note, this is an RTS RPG.

Second, and much better than the former mention, is Final Fantasy XII - Revenant Wings. It's real time, it takes some strategy, but again to note, it's an RPG title.

There's Command and Destroy for the DS, but reading about its reviews lead to me never bothering to try it.

    -------------------------

My opinion on why there's not many RTS titles (like those of C&C) on the DS is because of how touchy the controls would be. PC RTS games have convenience, utilizing both the keyboard and mouse for navigation and control, while the DS's small touch screen and limited buttons make it hard.

This reasoning can also be said about First/Third-person Shooting games for the DS. But, as proven by playing Metroid Prime: Hunters (among others, too), enough practice will give the player equal (or possibly more) precision with the DS controls compared to keyboard+mouse controls.

There is Summon Night: Twin Age, which is a real-time RPG game.

There's little pure RTS games that deserves a thumbs-up. Most games I knew are tagged with RPG.

    Try...

    Eco-Creatures: Save the Forest
    Desktop Tower Defense

Yeah, but the multiplayer made it a lot better.

Another RTS 'Locks Quest.' which was tower defence style.
