DS Lite Nintendo WiFi...

how do you get wifi on ds lite?
i know how to set it up but it sais access point's security details are not supported by the nintendo Ds... or something like that... help. :'(

 

I'm guessing the access point is WPA-which the dslite can't support.


And even the dsi, while it can use it, can't let WEP enabled games use WPA


Best chance is to turn off security or use WEP instead to get thru.

 

still dosen't work.. now it says
'unable to connect to the access point. confirm the correct wep key has been entered, then turn your system of and on again.'
done that osen't work... :'(

 

did you enter the wep code in your ds correctly?

Is whatever else connected to your router working fine?

If the ds can't connect like this everything else might be having issues.

BTW-sorry if this sounds dumb but you know you can't change the settings of the router via the ds right-you can only change them via pc.

Just making sure as I'm not sure how experienced you are and covering all the bases.

Are the ip adress settings/dns etc manually done or auto?

Sometimes it needs to be set manually to work rather than the quick password and go method.

Well, from my experience, not all wi fi routers are compatible for the DS. When I bought my router, I researched through the internet so I could buy the right one.

 

i had the same problem, i accessed the router then on security selected none, then on ds u need to connect on connection 1 2 or 3

 

Depending on what you want to do on the ds with the net. I think DS organize only accpets wep that are 10, 13 and 16. Other than that, It can only be WEP i think.

 

To get wifi on your DS for games u most do it by urself.
for my what worked:

1. go to your WiFi conection and do manual conection on your nds/ndsl/ndsi.
2. start cmd up on your pc and type: ipconfig /all.
then will appear a list with things
scroll a bit up and look for your ip, dns servers and that sort things.
3. on your nds/ndsl/ndsi fill in everything and for the codes look on the cmd program.
4. your ip for example is: 177.223.9.100 <-- not mine just a example do 177.223.9.110 or 177.223.9.090 so 10 more or 10 below.
5. save it and try connect it.

It most be a 10 digit number the WEP KEY. or otherwise dont fill in if you dont have it.
