I've recently dropped my DS and crack a hinge exposing part of the chip inside. It has been working fine for about 6 months until today when I turn on my DS it isntantly closes. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like it's time to purchase a new DS.

There's no way to fix it? Like buy a replacement housing case?

I don't think the case is causing your DS turn off when you turn the power on.

The hinge on the right side of the DS broke off so on the left side it hangs by a gold wire inside and it accidently tilted about 100 degrees. I think it's something loose inside.

The casing wouldn't be able to interfere. Get a new one, or get it professionally fixed. Are you talking about the switch? Is that broken?

Try plugging it into the charger and see if it will stay on.

Hmm... You know, if I were you I would go watch a video of someone disassembling their DS, and see how the piece works that makes it sense if the lid is closed. Watch carefully and see if you can tell how it works or not. It might be something really simple, like two metal plates inside the swivel piece that come in contact when the lid is closed. Who knows, might be a way to fix it. Just watch someone taking their DS apart, try taking yours apart (carefully that is, don't break it any more than it is!).
