    Okay, another Dreancast I-cant-get-that-freakin-emulator-to-work topic.
(Another, because i did used search and found another topics, didnt resolved at all)

Well sorry to bother you guys but this is pissing me off.

Emulator is Chankast 0.25 (wich is everything fine, I have the Bios already and i found some very well made guides on the youtube)

The problem is the.... dreamed Daemon tools 3.2.9 .....

I just.... can't find it >_> ... the link from the daemon website keep me sending to another place and I cant download it at all from the archive.

The link I am trying is this one http://forum.daemon-tools.cc/download.php?mode=Download&id=27

    No sucess...

Any idea, solutions? Wrong section ?

Any particular reason you have to have version 3.2.9 and not the latest version?

In the Chankast website is stated that a new version could give problens or not read the DC ISOs right.

    Seens to create an error.

Of course that was... years ago (lol), maybe by a miracle the newer version could work.

    Anyway...

    From chanka official faq

Q: Every time I try to run a .cdi CD image of a game I get an I/O control error. Why?
A: This is caused by the software that was used to create these CD images and it's not a fault of the emulator. If you want to make these images work with Chankast do one of the following:
1: Use Daemon Tools v3.29 to mount you CD images (other versions of Daemon tools will probably NOT work).

They're not that big, just try with the new one, if not, get Deamon Tools Pro, they'll work.

I cannot find any copies of Daemon Tools 3.29 available, even from their website.

Try the latest version, maybe it will work? Or maybe another Dreamcast emulator, like NullDC.

    Some people do.

I was never a fan of any of the games on that system. And a lot of the better ones came out on other systems as well.

best way to play DC games is to buy a DC and burn the games. It does not need chipping.

Apparently, certain models of dreamcast NEED chipping, like the psp, it's the later models to watchout for..

I had problems trying to locate that stupid daemon tools...AND I FOUND IT!

    But a few problems...

    1.I fogot the link/site

2.It won't work at all on vista (hope your an xp user)

3.It took ages to find the dang site

If you can find it again, and make it work on vista, let me know (the compatibility thing blocks you from installing this program, you can't check-mark it like already installed programs!)

Was looking foward to using this as well...

Yes I found your topic mds64. But you didnt post the link that time.

I am XP user as well. Vista was not made for a gaming computer. I am waiting if W7 will handle, but probaly will be the same crap.

I just noticed as well that my Chamkast isnt working at all >_< ...
Maybe the Bios is corrupted, will check again.

I heard this was normal on dremcast version D: . to bad.

    Anyway, thx for the help.
