Dragon quest IX black screen

    Ive been having problems with my dragon quest IX (EU), Im using r4 wood v1.11 and the compatability list says it should work on it...
    So the problem is I start up my game, I get the title screen, I move on to creating my char when Im done it starts loading, right after that it just goes black and freezes..
    I tried several times and bypassed it once and then got a black screen after the first fight :eek:
    So does someone know whats wrong or how to fix it? ;D

    I was using the clean rom with Wood 1.11
    and it was working perfectly for me till i got
    to a certain point in the game where it would
    freeze. I switched to a patched rom and i got passed
    that freeze.
    so if you arent using the patched rom, you should try that.

    Anyone got the patched rom(EU)? Ill just use that then i guess

    Would just like to say, Wood v1.11 only fixes the (U) version, not the (E) version. There is a patch for the game though, pre-patched ROM below. It is the (E) version:
