Dragon Quest 5 Map problem

HI, i tried to search that problem but couldnt find an existing thread.
To the problem...if i go on the map the fps break down to 5-7 fps while in cities i have stable 25-27 fps.
Anyone has a solution for that?

 

Use the latest no$gba 2.6a and no$zoomer 2.3.0.2.

Doesnt change anything still 5 fps on map

- Check your no$gba version, make sure it was 2.6a, not 2.6.
- As well your no$gba settings, the Emulation Speed, LCD refresh must be set to 'Realtime, Auto'.

 

im using 2.6a and its on realtime
i already tried opengl but that made it worse

 

By the way,
did you use no$gba with no$zoomer?

Check whether the EX5 was active or not, if yes, deactivate it.

Put both no$zoomer and no$gba into the same folder,
Run the No$zoomer(not no$gba), locate no$gba if asked.

Play DQ5, right-click the bottom screen, go to other, there should be EXTRA option,.
check whether the EX5 was ticked, if yes, untick it.

But if you have the fresh copy, you should be able to play it on normal speeds.

Disable EX0.

A copy of a new downloaded file.. or something like that.
Just redownload both no$gba 2.6a and no$zoomer 2.3.0.2 again.

So, is it working?
This game will only run in >27 fps if you're not using no$zoomer 2.3.0.2.
and use it in default settings.

may i ask the question if u played the game itself and if yes tell me please the rom u used

 

I played the rom from here. NO$GBA by itself lags horribly on the world map.

I'm fairly certain that using NO$Zoomer makes the lag disappear. Try enabling/disabling the different EX fixes.

 

i have EX3 on and its lags less than before and i can run faster but does someone know the best settings?

 

Well for starter, you can try activate all Ex (Beside Ex 5, that one give you slowdowns) just to see if it give better performance.

If it do, you just need to guess which combination works well, if not....either a better computer or that's the maximum performance the no$gba can give so far.

Just use default settings, make sure your renderer is set to 'nocash' not 'opengl'

 

Has anyone found out how to get this game to run better on world map with No$Zoomer 2.3.0.2?

 

What's the problem? does it lagging or graphic glitches?

 

It lags on the world map. Same as OP.

The game runs well, even with or without no$zoomer.

 

I read it. Game runs smooth. 30-31 FPS at all times except for world map. As soon as I hit the world map, it dips to around 6 fps.
