I don't really like DAO though. that pause and play battle system (also known as bioware aurora) just didn't work out for me. quite alot of other people loved it though so you should too.

If you play it once, you will play it again and every since new game is a different adventure, that's what makes DA:O awesome. You would expect like 50 hours of gameplay until you get the expanmsion which will give you about 30 more hours of gameplay.

I played it for 5 hours, loved it but it was taken away from me by my friend. he kicked me off his PS3 and all I did was watch, and play CoD on his PC

Dragon age origins is a good game, Its really a hit or miss depending on your taste and preferences, Its a bioware RPG, so dont expect something like elder scrolls and such, its got a vibe of Never winter Nights packed in to a more accesible Action RPG, I'd suggest you rent this game from a video store first, I enjoyed it, and I hope you do to.

dont pick up Dragon Age origin, pick up Dragon Age origin Deluxe edition, if you love RPG, D&D or LotR. then you wont regard picking it up.

  8. Pass, on the PC it is so much better IMO.

It's a great game, really, but it depends on who you are and what system you'll be playing it on.
The game is best on the PC and of course best for traditional RPG gamers, it's a turn-based decision making game.

Never played Dragon Age, but if it's anything like the other bioware games, then yeah. It runs on "turns".

considering you dont have wait for your turn to do anything except for mages who have casting time on thier super spell, i'm so sure about calling it a turn base.

Never played it either but :
Turns does not necessarily mean the traditional THIS IS UR TURN NAO style. If there's a bar and it has to be filled, it's still turn-based, albeit tweaked up.

Its ok, not as good as some but worth playing. 50 hours of decent gameplay for $15 is worth it anyday.

even the bar is only on a few number of stuff and it is further limited to few number of character.

IIRC the game have like 4-6 spells that have casting time and only (including the player) 3 peoples have it.

IF that is qualified the game as a turn base, then if the game have car, its a racing game, its the game have a football, its a spots game, if the game have gun, its a war game, if a game have food, its a cooking game.

Okay, Calvin_0, it's a traditional WRPG with cast time and the ability to pause before making your decisions.

    Wouldn't call it a turn based game <,< ....

Even if each character does have a cooldown when attacking.

Anyway this should fit your curiosity
