Hi, I have problem with downloading servers. I am from Europe, but when i choose Europan server the download is very slow (20-80 kb/s). Why is that? Older europan server was very faster. Do I have to use American one? I got there 60-120 kb/s. I think it's nonsense to pay for Europan server. Greetings, jakbu.
It's not nonsense at all, I got 270KB/s from the european server yesterday. The speed is mostly outside of our control, but if we didn't have two servers everyone would be downloading from the US server and it would be much slower. The older server was not faster, it had half the available bandwidth this one does. The internet is highly dynamic, and on this occasion you are getting a better route to the US server than the EU server. It happens.
I can only iterate the above point, it's a new server on the same network, basically, we (almost, they actually overlapped) just unplugged the old one and plugged the new one in. So whatever difference in speed you get has nothing to do with it being a new server.
So I don't know what's wrong with the server. When there were 4 servers, 2 new and 2 old, I checked New Europan speed and Old Europan speed. Old one was 2 times faster :s
